This notice is provided pursuant to Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and explains how personal data is processed in connection with Trade Week Global trade missions.
1. Data Controller
Trade Week Global is a B2B trade mission platform operated by Funny Tourism (TÜRSAB Licence No. 7747). For the purposes of KVKK, Funny Tourism acts as the data controller for personal data collected through this website and during the organisation of trade missions. You can reach us at any time at info@tradeweekglobal.com.
2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on whether you register as a delegate, register as a local B2B participant or contact us, we collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity data: full name, date of birth, nationality
- Passport data: passport number, expiry date and a scanned copy of the passport
- Contact data: email address, mobile phone number, emergency contact details
- Company data: company name, sector, products and services, website, matchmaking objectives
- Billing data: company legal title, tax office, tax number, billing address
- Logistics data: dietary requirements and special requests you choose to share
3. Purposes of Processing
Your personal data is processed solely for the organisation and delivery of the trade mission you register for, namely: issuing flight tickets on the group booking, processing electronic visa applications, making hotel reservations, organising the event and B2B programme, matchmaking with counterpart companies through partner chambers of commerce, and issuing invoices and managing payments.
If you have given separate, optional consent, your contact details may also be used to inform you about future Trade Week Global missions.
4. Transfers of Personal Data
Your personal data is shared only with the parties whose involvement is necessary to deliver the mission, and only to the extent required: the airline (for group ticketing), the visa authority of the destination country (for e-visa processing), the contracted hotel (for rooming), and partner chambers of commerce and matchmaking institutions (limited to company and matchmaking information for the B2B programme). Your data is not sold and is not shared with any third party for advertising purposes.
5. Retention
Personal data collected for a mission is deleted within 60 days after the end of the event, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law (for example tax and commercial legislation applicable to invoices).
6. Your Rights under Article 11 of KVKK
Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed
- request information about the processing if it is
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
- know the third parties to whom the data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- request deletion or destruction of the data under the conditions set out in Article 7 of KVKK
- request that corrections, deletions and destructions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred
- object to a result that is to your detriment arising from analysis of the data exclusively by automated systems
- claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing
